Cowboy Party Fixin’s
Nothing rounds up cowboys and cowgirls faster than barbecued beef, corn on the cob and ice-cold root beer. And with the help of a slow cooker and microwave, this party menu couldn’t be easier to prepare!

Change direction of your knife and cut from the left side to the right, 1 inch down, along the top of the brim. This should free the top part of the hat, leaving the brim the full 2 inches and the top of the hat, 1 inch. From the piece you just removed, cut out a star and secure to a hat of the opposite color using a dab of honey. Lastly, place on candy sticks and serve.
What’s the best way to wash down all of that good eatin’? With bottles of frosty root beer, of course! We gussied ours up with custom labels that match the party perfectly.
We also created a fill-in-the-plank menu board to display in a frame or on the wall, plus cute root beer tags to go over store-bought bottles of every cowboy’s favorite drink. Best part? They’re free too! So get downloadin’.
When guests arrive, outfit them with cowboy hats and bandanas rounded up from the dollar store; then when it’s time to go, send them on their way with sheriff badges and happy trails mix. We used burlap bags—found at a craft store—filled them with S’mores Snack Mix and labeled them with these trail mix tags.
Stay organized and make sure you don’t miss a single detail with Betty’s to-dos and reminders for hosting the best birthday ever!
