1 pouch (17.9 oz) Betty Crocker™ Snickerdoodle Cookie Mix
1 box Betty Crocker™ Delights Super Moist™ French Vanilla Cake Mix
1 cup butter, melted and slightly cooled
3 eggs
1/2 cup toffee bits
1 tub (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy Vanilla Frosting

Instructions

Step 1
Heat oven to 350°F. Spray bottom of 13x9-inch pan with cooking spray.

Step 2
Open cookie mix; remove cinnamon-sugar packet, and reserve 2 teaspoons for topping.

Step 3
In large bowl, beat cookie mix, cake mix, melted butter, eggs and remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture with electric mixer on low speed 30 seconds. Beat on medium speed about 1 minute or until blended. Stir in 1/4 cup of the toffee bits. Spread evenly in pan.

Step 4
Bake 32 to 35 minutes or until golden brown and toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely, about 1 1/2 hours.

Step 5
Spread frosting on top of bar. Sprinkle reserved 2 teaspoons cinnamon-sugar mixture and remaining toffee bits over top. Cut into 6 rows by 4 rows. Store loosely covered in single layer at room temperature.

Recipe Tips

The inspiration for these Snickerdoodle Toffee Bars comes from the classic snickerdoodle cookie, a favorite butter cookie coated in cinnamon sugar.
Toffee bits are in the baking aisle of your grocery store. They are sold in bags just like chocolate chips. Toffee bits add a nice crunch and contrast to the sweet vanilla frosting.
Be sure to scrape the bowl occasionally while mixing, so all ingredients get incorporated.
