This recipe is so fun, and you could get creative. Adding some additional crumbled graham crackers on top would make for a nice crunch.
Line the pan with parchment paper or foil and be sure to grease the lining. I also always make sure brownies are completely cooled before removing from the pan and cutting.
About 12 squares graham crackers, to cover bottom of pan
About 4 chocolate bars or 1 cup chocolate chips
About 2 cups large marshmallows, to cover top of brownies
Instructions
Step 1
Heat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pan). Line 8-inch or 9-inch square baking pan with parchment paper.
Step 2
Prepare brownie mix with egg, oil and water as directed on box. Layer graham crackers in the bottom of lined baking pan. Spread brownie mixture over the graham crackers, and bake according to instructions on box for your baking pan size.
Step 3
Top baked brownies with chocolate bars or chips and return to the oven for a minute so they can melt. Spread melted chocolate layer.
Step 4
Top with marshmallows and return to oven to bake for a few minutes. Once your marshmallows begin to expand and turn slightly golden, turn your oven onto a low broil. Broil marshmallows for 30-60 seconds. Watch these very carefully so they don’t burn!
Step 5
Spray a sharp knife with cooking spray, and slice into even squares.
